Moving Shoring System MSS for the new Gerald Desmond Bridge Replacement in Long Beach, California. Design review and onsite inspections of two similar machines weighing up to 1250 tons. Design of the temporary foundations supporting the MSS for the first pour, before pier brackets could be installed. Developed reusable support pads with variable compound angle capability to replace the much more labor-intensive grout pads under the rear supports of the machine.
