Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge Launch Project Report (PDF)

This 314 ft (96 m) long plate girder bridge was launched over Pfeiffer Canyon, with an approximate launch weight of 940 tons. The bridge was launched uphill against a 7% slope. Once in position, the bridge was lowered onto its final bearings and the concrete deck was added in place.
